01 · What the service is
Japanese Color Atlas is a public reference for traditional Japanese color names, palettes, language guides, and design exports. You may browse the site and use the free sample files for evaluation and workflow testing.

Japanese Color Atlas is a sister product to Chinese Color Atlas (chinesecoloratlas.com) and Architecture Color Atlas (architecturecoloratlas.com), all published by Chroma Cathay.
03 · Use
Do not misuse the site, scrape it at abusive rates, interfere with availability, or redistribute paid resources without permission.
Color name records, descriptions, and curated dataset selections are owned by Chroma Cathay or licensed to us. HEX values and similar numeric color records are uncopyrightable and may be reused freely.
04 · Data and content
Traditional color name records, source attributions, and editorial descriptions in the atlas are produced by Chroma Cathay using a source-aware methodology. Where sources are documented, they are cited in the relevant color or guide page.
HEX values are digital approximations. They are convenient for design work but should not be treated as historical truth. See the methodology page for source-status tiers.
05 · Free samples and paid bundles
Free sample files in /resources/free may be downloaded and used in personal or commercial projects. Attribution is appreciated but not required.
Paid bundles, when offered, follow the refund and delivery terms in the refund policy.
06 · Changes
These terms may evolve as the product matures. The current version date is shown below.
